Your Role

Under the supervision of the service manager, the mechanical workshop controller organizes and optimizes the distribution of work. You assign work orders to technicians based on their skills, workload, and daily priorities, ensuring exemplary customer service, adherence to deadlines, and optimal productivity.

Main Responsibilities

• Distribute work orders based on technician expertise and availability
• Prioritize interventions according to appointments, emergencies, and promised deadlines
• Monitor work progress and adjust assignments in real time
• Collaborate with technical advisors, parts department, and service management
• Reduce downtime and optimize workshop efficiency
• Verify stamping and traceability of completed operations
• Resolve issues related to parts, deadlines, or workload
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and productivity standards

Desired Profile

• Experience in mechanical workshop or automobile dealership
• Good understanding of service department operations
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
• Knowledge of automotive mechanics
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team spirit and good communication skills
• Sense of urgency, rigor, and autonomy
• Knowledge of dealership management systems (asset)

Desired Experience and Skills

• 3 years as Workshop Supervisor/Foreman
• 4 years as Mechanic/Technician
