Automotive Technical Advisor — Longueuil (confidential recruitment)
Job Description We are seeking an Automotive Technical Advisor to support customers and technical teams in understanding and resolving vehicle-related issues and after-sales service solutions. The position acts as a central point between customer service, technicians, and manufacturing partners, with a strong consultative and preventative dimension.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and guide customers in analyzing their technical issues and service needs.
- Diagnose potential causes of breakdowns using error codes, diagrams, manufacturer documentation, and technicians’ feedback.
- Advise on maintenance solutions, appropriate parts and equipment, while respecting warranty policies and internal procedures.
- Prepare and communicate clear technical recommendations, quotes, and intervention plans in collaboration with technicians and suppliers.
- Coordinate interventions with the service teams and ensure case follow-up with stakeholders.
- Document interactions and diagnostics in management systems (CRM and technical databases) and ensure traceability of information.
- Participate in training and knowledge transfer on product updates, procedures, and diagnostic tools.
- Keep up-to-date with safety standards, manufacturer procedures, and warranty policies.
- Propose process improvements and relay customer feedback to optimize offerings and services.
Profile and Qualifications
- No experience required; ideal for a beginner eager to advance in the automotive field.
- Relevant diploma (DEC in Automotive Techniques, DEP in Automotive Mechanics, or equivalent) or equivalent technical training; practical experience is appreciated.
- General knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems; ability to read diagrams and interpret fault codes.
- Excellent communication skills, active listening, and customer service orientation; ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Team spirit, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with technicians and suppliers.
- Proficiency in French; functional English desired; bilingualism is an asset.
- Proficiency with common computer tools (Microsoft Office suite), CRM, and parts management software; ability to learn manufacturer databases quickly.
- Valid driver’s license; availability for flexible hours and adaptability to a dynamic environment.
- Solution-oriented attitude, technical curiosity, and ability to work independently while respecting processes.
