Job Title Sales Director – Joliette Volkswagen (Groupe St-Jean)
Hook We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead the sales team and implement a sustainable growth strategy. You are a results-oriented leader, capable of developing a culture of performance and excellence in customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define annual and monthly sales objectives and develop corresponding action plans.
- Lead, train, and coach the sales team to ensure optimal performance and exceptional customer experience.
- Manage the sales cycle and oversee performance indicators (sales, margin, acquisition cost, conversion rate).
- Develop and execute pricing, promotional, and financing strategies to maximize volumes and profitability.
- Collaborate with the after-sales service, marketing, and financing to optimize the customer journey.
- Analyze data and present reports to management on results, forecasts, and areas for improvement.
- Manage the department’s budget and expenses while ensuring internal procedures are followed.
- Identify growth opportunities for the client portfolio and retain existing customers.
- Key operational activities (stock checks and evaluations):
- Purchase of used vehicles
- Closing sales
- Online registration and follow-up of web inquiries
- Supervision of the used vehicle sales department
- Sale of new and used vehicles
- Vehicle evaluations
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales leadership, ideally in the automotive sector.
- Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams; excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of the local market and industry trends; familiarity with financing programs and mobility solutions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and the Microsoft suite (advanced Excel); ability to analyze data and make decisions based on figures.
- Relevant degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual or functionally bilingual; French is dominant, English is an asset.
