Apprentice Mechanic — Pierre Mondou Mechanical Workshop Inc. (Sainte-Thérèse)

Join our established and dynamic workshop to ensure maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a wide range of vehicles. You will work in a structured environment with a solid team and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections
• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline vehicles (brakes, steering, suspension, air conditioning system, injection, etc.)
• Reading and analyzing electrical diagrams, error codes, and programming ECM/PCM/ECU
• Diagnosis and repair of hybrid and electric vehicles
• Tire repair and installation
• Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution and injection systems

Profile Sought

We are primarily looking for a person passionate about automotive mechanics, with analytical skills and a desire to improve the garage and team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Recommended minimum experience: 3 years in an auto repair shop; ideally 5+ years
• Diploma in automotive mechanics and apprentice skill cards (or equivalent)
• ASP in electric vehicle mechanics (or equivalent)
• Valid driver’s license; manual driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of software: Mitchell On Demand, AllData, AB Magic
• Practical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems and ability to read diagrams and error codes

Skills and Qualities

• Organized, autonomous, and persistent
• Team spirit and focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to work on vehicles of American, Japanese, and European brands

Compensation

• Up to CAD 40.00/hour, depending on experience and skills

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Friday afternoons off)
• Closed annually between Christmas and New Year
