Job Description Join a team known for its advanced diagnostics and expertise. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing light trucks and utility vehicles, prioritizing reliability and safety. Work on gasoline engines and optionally diesel engines, relying on high-performance diagnostic tools and rigorous inspection procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures in light trucks.
- Perform preventive maintenance, full revisions, and system repairs (engine, transmission, electrical, air conditioning, braking, suspension).
- Analyze symptoms, read diagrams, and interpret technical bulletins and diagnostic reports.
- Replace parts, adjust, and test systems to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
- Write clear and precise work reports and communicate with clients and technicians.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards; collaborate with the team to optimize workflows.
- Participate in training and stay updated on technologies related to light trucks.
Desired Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in light truck mechanics.
- Relevant diploma in automotive mechanics (or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret technical documents and electronic systems.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Team spirit, excellent coordination, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to a diverse clientele; fluency in French is essential (English is an asset).
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines and related systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution, injection, and electronic systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel and injection systems (gasoline) and ECM/PCM/ECU programming.
- Repair of suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking systems.
- Reading and interpreting diagrams, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
