Experienced Automotive Mechanic / Technician – Ford St-Basile (Saint-Basile-le-Grand)

Ford St-Basile, a Ford dealership located in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our new workshop and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems of Ford vehicles, and, if necessary, other brands, according to manufacturer procedures and internal standards.
• Diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electronics using specialized tools and software.
• Perform preventative and corrective interventions diligently, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to provide fast and accurate service, and document interventions and parts used.
• Conduct road tests after repairs and keep the work area clean and organized in a new workshop.

Technical Tasks

• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines and anti-pollution systems
• Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
• Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
• Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems and electrical/electronic circuits
• ECM / PCM / ECU programming
• Repair of suspension and steering
• Repair and maintenance of hydraulic braking systems

Profile and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive mechanics
• Ford experience considered a major asset
• DEP or equivalent in automotive mechanics; valid driver's license
• Skills in diagnosis and use of computerized tools and software (ideally Ford tools)
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and excellent professional rigor
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to daily priorities
• CPA certifications: CPA Competency Card (1,2,3 or A,B,C) and CPA Apprentice Card (1st, 2nd, 3rd year)
