Mechanic / Technician - Apprentice (learning and progression)

Mazda Pointe-aux-Trembles dealership, part of the GENX Automotive Group, is seeking a Mechanical / Technician - Apprentice to join a dynamic team. This position, focused on learning and professional development, offers a modern and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles according to OEM standards and internal procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine mechanical and electrical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electronics) using specialized tools and diagnostics.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures.
• Ensure work quality, meet deadlines, and guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and the after-sales team; document interventions and track parts.
• Adhere to safety regulations, hygiene standards, and internal policies.

Profile and Qualifications

• enrolled in a DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent training; at least 1 year of experience in a similar role is an asset (apprentice accepted).
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics; ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Good skills in reading technical diagrams and following repair procedures.
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn.
• Fluent in French; technical English is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for flexible hours and summer schedule.
• Certifications desired: Halocarbures; CPA Competency Card (Apprentice 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year).
