Director of Financial Services - Automotive (Full-Time)

Context We are a dealership focused on customer experience and operational excellence. As part of our development, we are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Services to lead financial activities related to vehicle purchases and to expand our offerings of insurance, loans, and automotive warranties.

Job Objective
- Oversee the team responsible for financial solutions and insurance associated with vehicle purchases.
- Define and achieve sales and service goals in collaboration with the sales team and financial partners.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with financial institutions and insurers to obtain favorable terms.
- Ensure clear, transparent, and ethical communication of financial options to clients.
- Lead training and development of the team, promote continuous improvement, and ensure an optimal customer experience throughout the process.
- Monitor key performance indicators, prepare reports, and contribute to the financial services budget.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate automobile financing, insurance, and warranty offerings.
- Work with the sales team to propose tailored solutions and maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Track client files to ensure speed, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with laws, internal rules, and dealership policies.
- Train and supervise the team on sales practices, file processing, and relationships with financial partners.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local insurers and lenders.
- Oversee daily operational activities (reports, validations, signatures, direct debits, deposits, and receipts) and ensure procedures are followed.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), produce reports, and participate in budget development.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive financial services management (insurance, loans, and warranties) or an equivalent position.
- Proven experience in team management and developing team members' skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to clearly explain financial options without jargon.
- Analytical mindset, organizational skills, result-oriented while maintaining quality customer service.
- Business acumen, integrity, and ability to collaborate with other departments.
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
